Stress causes Chronic Pain??? Chronic Pain

Chronic stress  contributes to chronic pain. When the body is in a continuous state of tension, hormones are affected and muscles are compromised due to tension. Do you ever feel like your head is going to explode and your body aches beyond aching? While many suffer from injuries, new and old, others suffer chronic pain for other reasons. While many have found exercise to help alleviate stress and varying levels of pain, here are a few more techniques that may be helpful. 1) Breath deeply, in through your mouth and out through your nose. This gives your brain more oxygen. 2) Close your eyes and relax. 3) Meditate, 4) Imagine a peaceful place of beauty. As always I encourage you to get involved. Talk to people with your same interests. Sometimes it is nice just to have a cup of coffee together. Best, Ines
